【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedforspecificationanalysisofhigh-purityn-heptaneandisooctane,whichareusedasASTMKnockTestReferenceFuels.Hydrocarbonimpuritiesorcontaminants,whichcanadverselyaffecttheoctanenumberofthesefuels,arepreciselydeterminedbythismethod.1.1Thistestmethodcoversandprovidesfortheanalysisofhigh-purity(greaterthan99.5%byvolume)n-heptaneandisooctane(2,2,4-trimethylpentane),whichareusedasprimaryreferencestandardsindeterminingtheoctanenumberofafuel.Individualcompoundspresentinconcentrationsoflessthan0.01%canbedetected.Columnsspecifiedbythistestmethodmaynotallowseparationofallimpuritiesinreferencefuels.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
